1. Information this policy covers
The information processed depends on the features you use, permissions you grant, and whether you use OfferSpot as a guest, customer, or merchant. We aim to collect only information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.
2. Information you provide
- Account information: information you submit when registering, signing in, or managing your account, such as your name, email address, phone number, and role, where requested by the app.
- Merchant and business information: business name, contact details, category, business location, offer descriptions, prices, promotional images, campaign details, and other information you submit as a merchant.
- Support messages: information you include when contacting our support team.
- Offer and game activity: information needed to operate offers and optional merchant-managed promotions or games, such as participation or submitted guesses, where those features are available.
3. Location information
OfferSpot may request device location permission to show offers near your current location or provide location-based features. Location access should be controlled through your device settings. If you deny or disable permission, some nearby features may not work as intended. We do not state that precise location is collected in every use of the app; actual processing depends on the feature you use and the permissions you grant.
4. How we use information
- Provide and maintain accounts, offers, merchant profiles, search, and location-based discovery.
- Review or moderate submitted content and manage approvals where applicable.
- Support offer participation, campaign administration, and merchant-managed game features.
- Respond to support requests, communicate service-related updates, and address abuse or security issues.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, protect, and improve OfferSpot, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
5. Offers, merchants, and third parties
OfferSpot helps customers discover offers published by merchants. A merchant may receive information necessary to administer an offer or a promotion you choose to participate in. Information included in a public merchant profile, offer, or campaign may be visible to other users.
Purchases, redemptions, and other transactions made directly between a customer and a merchant are between those parties. OfferSpot does not act as the payment intermediary for those direct customer-to-merchant transactions. Merchants are responsible for their own offer conditions, game or lucky-draw rules, winner selection, and reward fulfilment.
6. Payments
Browsing OfferSpot as a customer is intended to be free, and customers do not pay OfferSpot for ordinary app access. Merchants may be charged fees for posting or promoting offers when paid merchant services are enabled. A third-party payment provider or UPI app may process a merchant payment. Such providers handle payment information under their own terms and privacy policies. OfferSpot should not collect or store your UPI PIN, payment-app password, or full payment credentials.
7. Service providers and sharing
We may use service providers to operate features such as authentication, database and file hosting, notifications, security, payment processing, or diagnostics, where those services are enabled in the released app. Information may be processed by these providers only as needed to provide or protect the service, subject to their applicable terms. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect users or the service, or in connection with a legitimate business reorganisation.
We do not sell personal information as a business model. Do not submit sensitive personal information in public offer descriptions or images.
8. Data retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security and business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods may differ by information type. We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, but no online service or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
9. Account deletion and your choices
You may request deletion of your OfferSpot account and associated personal information through the account-deletion option in the app, if available, or by contacting support@cmsgroup.in. You can also use our Account Deletion page for instructions. We may retain limited records where required by law, for security, to resolve disputes, or to complete legitimate recordkeeping. Deleting an account may remove access to account features and saved information.
You can manage app permissions, including location permission, through your device settings. You may contact us to ask about information associated with your account or to raise a privacy concern.
10. Children
OfferSpot is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact us so we can review the request.
11. External links and third-party policies
OfferSpot may link to merchant websites, maps, payment providers, or other third-party services. Their privacy practices are controlled by those providers, not by this policy. Review their policies before sharing information with them.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, our practices, or legal requirements change. We will publish the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use after an update means the revised policy applies to future use, subject to applicable law.
